The Rwandan governement welcomed on monday the arrest of Callixte Mbarushimana by french authorities on a secret warrant issued by the ICC and offered rare praise of the International Criminal court.
« We want to congratulate the ICC for having taken that bold initiative » said to the press Rwandan Justice Minister, Tharcisse Karugarama. In the past, Rwandan president Paul Kagame has been very critical on the ICC saying the judiction « has been put in place only for African countries, only for poor countries ».
